Applying Cartec Wet & Protect? Here’s how to do it in 4 steps.

Cartec Wet & Protect is specially developed for the professional user. With Wet & Protect, you easily apply a water-repellent and protective layer to the car's paintwork. The result? A brilliant shine, long-lasting protection and extreme water beading.

In this insight, we explain how to apply Cartec Wet & Protect. For optimal results, we recommend following the steps below.

Step 1: Pre-cleaning with Cartec Twister Comfort

Before applying Wet & Protect, pre-cleaning is very important. For pre-cleaning, use Cartec Twister Comfort. The use of another pre-cleaner may affect the result of the Wet & Protect.

Using a pressure pump or foam lance, spray the vehicle from bottom to top with Cartec Twister Comfort. Let the product soak in for about 2 minutes. After the soaking time, spray off from bottom to top with a pressure washer.

Step 2: Wash with Cartec Cherry Wash

Wash the vehicle with Cartec Cherry Wash. A foam lance can be used for this or the bucket and washing glove combination. After washing, carefully spray off the shampoo from top to bottom. Make sure that all Cartec Cherry Wash residues are removed. Remaining shampoo residue on the paintwork can adversely affect the effect of Cartec Wet & Protect.

Step 3: Apply Cartec Wet & Protect

Preparation:
Always use clean material before applying Wet & Protect. This is because residual chemicals from other products affect the performance of Cartec Wet & Protect.

Dilute:
Do you use a pressure pump? Then dilute 200-250 ml of Cartec Wet & Protect 1:1 in the pump with clean water, so that you end up with 400-500 ml of mix product in your pressure pump. Depending on the size of the vehicle, you will be able to treat exactly the whole vehicle with 400-500 ml.

Do you prefer to grab the foam lance? Depending on how much water the pressure washer delivers per minute, adjust your foam lance. The product goes purely into the foam cup. Use 200 to 250 ml of product per vehicle and make sure the foam cup has consumed this too, after you have hit all parts of the car.

Application:
Spray the clean vehicle from bottom to top with Cartec Wet & Protect. Make sure that all parts of the vehicle are well touched by the spray coating. Do not let the product dry on the paintwork; if necessary (consider the size of the vehicle and weather conditions), treat per panel to prevent drying.

Rinse off:
After application, rinse Cartec Wet & Protect with a pressure washer. The water fading is immediately visible during rinsing. Rinse the vehicle thoroughly a second time to further activate the product.
